Have you read anything like this lately?
Law enforcement officials involved in stolen motorcyle parts racketeering with another business owner in a small country town in N. Calif. This reads like a fastenating red neck good old boy novel, I can hardly wait for the next chapter.
This after a two year investigation, several have been indicted. Hey the economy is really getting bad.
I am from a law enforcement family also, this is the pits. Of course we know what this does.
My Love and I both wore the uniform, that of Military too. Breaks my heart when I see something like this. So sad.

I hadn’t heard about this, but it’s yet another incident that gives law enforcement a "black eye." Their careers went down the drain & their families will have to bare the brunt of the shame, as always.

This bit of news is no worse than what we have already read or heard on the News.

This is sad news. People in Law Enforcement are perhaps confronted with temptation more than the average citizen. They take on the responsibility and the law abiding citizens hold them to high standards. I figure that with the number of people in law enforcement versus the number of people who fail to live up to those high standards we still owe people who enforce our laws a dept of gratitude.

Olivia, this, once again proves, that when the occasion arrives, cop’s are just like everyone else. GREEDY !
That’s why when a policeman does something spectacular, it’s BIG NEWS.
Example, there’s an (EX) cop here in Illinois, (Google "Drew Peterson") , that is suspected of killing his wife (pregnant), and taking her body off somewhere and hasn’t been found yet.
His "story" is, that "she ran off with another man" !
This was his second wife, his first wife’s death (after exhumation) was ruled a homicide as well. This guy’s a Liar and A MANIAC!!!
People kill each other all the time, but when a cop kills his wife (or husband), it’s big news because the cop’s are SUPPOSED to be from a "better cut of cloth".
(I personally know a cop that was divorcing his wife, and she, (the mean bit##) called his Lt. and said that "she feared him". The Lt. put him on desk duty for about six months, then put him on "probation", and assigned him a "rider" to supervise his activities. All this after 17 years on the force, with NO "incidents" on his record. Nice, ‘eh?)
I’m all for law and order (PRO blue), and definatly, not ready to "paint all the cop’s with the same brush". But they are NO DIFFERENT than anyone else.
They are hired to do a job, that THEY WANT to do, and when they do it AS TRAINED, they earn their money (like everyone else does). But when they get to feeling that they "are above the law", (like a lot of "civil servants" do), and expand their "interest’s" in other fields, that’s when the problem’s start.
Also, it really doesn’t speak well for this country, where some people pay MILLIONS OF $$ to drugged out scum bag’s that have NO talent, or to some "gangbanger" playing a kid’s game, but will VOTE AGAINST ALL proposals to raise a cop’s salary to a decent wage, or deny him the meager overtime pay he’s entitled to. An absolute disgrace.
On "lighter" note, I read in the this month’s AARP magazine, about the guy in Weed, Calif, that had a logo that said "A friend "IN WEED", is a friend indeed". That’s an "oldie" from the sixties, but "goodie" anyway.
