Is it possible to coast on a cruiser bicycle?

I was planning to get an electra cruiser with coaster brakes and I was wondering if it would be possible to coast. (Moving without pedaling)

Of course. Coaster brakes work by pedaling backwards. Not pedaling, ypu are freewheeling. Pedaling forward drives the bike.

The only bikes you can’t coast on are fixed gear or track bikes.
