American motorcycle accessories Modernization Of The Blackfo |
http://www.americanmotorcycleaccessories.info
The Blackfoot tribe has deep roots in American history. They earned their name by the shoes that they wore when English settlers first met the tribe.
The myth of the Blackfoot tribe is that when they walked through some prairie fires while traveling their moccasins were dyed black because of the ashes.
Whether or not this is true, staining the bottom of their moccasins black became a tradition.
The Blackfoot tribe usually traditionally traveled using an A frame sled. This A frame sled could be fairly easily pulled by a person, or sometimes dogs, over land.
It was not until the 1700s that the Blackfoot tribe was introduced to horses. They first saw horses when they ran into their enemies, the Shoshone Indians who had tamed them.
The name that they called horses was ponokamita or elk dogs. Horses allow the Blackfoot Indians to carry more, move faster, and made hunting easier.
Horses quickly became one of the main forms of trading. Wealth and status were measured respectively according to the number of horses one could give away.
The Blackfoot tribe had many enemies. Other than the Shoshone, these tribes included the Crow, Sioux, Flathead, and Kootenai tribes.moccasin
